Beef Kibbe Kebabs with Summer Fresh Baba Ghanouj
1lb (500g) Ground beef
½ cup (125ml) Fine, dry, cracked wheat
(bulgar)
½ Medium white
onion, diced
2 Garlic cloves,
minced
Salt, to taste
Black pepper, to
taste
1 x 8oz (227g)
Summer Fresh Baba Ghanouj
20 Wooden skewers
soaked in water
1. In a large bowl, mix together beef, cracked
wheat (Bulgur), onion, garlic, salt and pepper to
taste. Add ½ pkg (113g) of
Summer Fresh Baba Ghanouj and mix in until
well blended.
2. Take approximately 1 oz (30g) of mixture and
shape around skewer lengthwise; repeat with
remaining meat mixture and skewers.
3. Over medium heat, grill skewers for 7 to 12
minutes or until meat is cooked through; or place on
a non-stick baking tray and cook in 180°C
(350°C)
oven for 8 to 9 minutes; turn and continue cooking
for 8 to 9 minutes or until cooking through.
