The Canadian Food Exporters Association in cooperation with the Ontario Ministry
of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, the Consulate General of Canada in Hong
Kong, Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office, and the Hong Kong Trade Development
Council, will be organizing a Canada pavilion at the Food Expo, Hong Kong
Convention & Exhibition Centre, Hong Kong, August 12-16, 2010, and would like to
invite you to participate.
The Food Expo has been a showcase for Hong Kong food manufacturers and trading
companies for over 20 years. Overseas companies have now discovered the prospect
of exhibiting at the Expo too. In 2009, 24 countries & regions were represented
by over 600 exhibitors. This show provides an excellent opportunity to highlight
your product offerings not only to buyers but to the general public giving you a
huge test market with instant feedback. In 2009 attendance was at 344,000.
This year there will be two locations for the Canada pavilion:

1.
Public Hall:
CDN $4,500.00 for a 12m2 space.
The public hall runs from Thursday to Sunday 10am – 10pm and Monday from
10am – 6pm. This is a direct selling event so if you are planning to
participate you will need to ship enough product to accommodate the
extended hours
|
2.
Trade Hall:
CDN $3,600.00 for a 9m2 space.
The trade hall runs from Thursday and Friday 10am – 6pm and Saturday
from 10am – 10pm (open to public). |

As a participant of this program you will receive a reimbursement of 50% of an
economy airline ticket up to a maximum ticket price of $1,800.00, a daily per
diem of $200.00 up to a maximum of 7 days and up to
50% of the cost of sample shipments, if budgets allow.
A 5% management fee will be deducted from your
reimbursement to help cover CFEA administrative expenses.
