Dear Exporter:
We are pleased
to invite you to participate in the International Food and Drink Event (IFE) at
the ExCel in London, UK from March 13-16, 2011.
The International Food &
Drink Event (IFE) is a global event dedicated to showcasing the world’s most
innovative products and attracts a high quality, worldwide audience with
significant purchasing power from retail, foodservice, wholesale, distribution
and manufacturing sectors. IFE is an excellent platform for food and drink
manufacturers to generate new sales leads, expand into new markets, meet new and
existing clients and achieve brand awareness goals.
The UK boasts
the most dynamic food and drinks market in the world, ranking fifth before
China, the Middle East, Italy and Spain. It is currently the third most
important market in Europe and its retail market is valued at £133.3 billion
with 95,000 grocery stores. With the Olympic Games coming to the UK in 2012, UK
tourism is estimated to be worth £2.3 billion for the period before, during, and
after the games. 908,440 people will visit the Olympics, 14 million meals will
be served, and an estimated £1.47 billion worth of food & drink revenue will be
generated. IFE is working directly with the 2012 Olympic Organizing Committees,
to entice them to conduct business with exhibitors for the upcoming Olympics.
IFE is also working with the British Retail Consortium and Federation of
Wholesalers & Distributors to initiate a Hosted Buyer Program to target key
buyers, particularly the major retailers and importers, to attend the
exhibition.
