Canadian Food Exporters Mission to Mumbai & New Delhi, India
November 28 – December 4, 2008 |
 |
Dear Exporter,
The Canadian Food Exporters
Association, in cooperation with the
Canadian High Commission & Consulates in India, are pleased to invite you to participate
in a Canadian Food Exporters Mission to Mumbai and New Delhi, India
from November 28 – December 4, 2008.
Economists are optimistic
about India’s consumption growth potential, and believe that rising income
levels, increasing urbanization, a changing age profile (more young people),
increasing consumerism, a significant rise in the number of single men and women
professionals, and the availability of cheap credit will push India onto a new
growth trajectory. These segments of the population are aware of quality
differences, insist on world standards, and are willing to pay a premium for
quality (Source USDA Foreign Agricultural Service).
The Canadian
High Commission in Delhi, the Canadian Consulate in Chandigarh and the Asia
Pacific Division at AAFC
has developed a listing of products (below)
that are considered a good prospect for this market. If your product(s) are on
this list then you should seriously consider participating in this mission.
