On behalf of the CFEA, I would like to invite your company to exhibit at the Private Label Manufacturer’s Association Trade Show in Rosemont, Illinois, November 16-18, 2008.

Store brands are reaching an all time high with retailers around the globe choosing private label as their preferred strategy in building their names and their bottom line.  Own brands are used to differentiate themselves and create consumer loyalty.

According to the latest consumer research, forty-one percent of American shoppers now describe themselves as frequent store brand buyers, up from 36% just five years ago. Moreover, nearly one out of three consumers say that they are more likely now than a year ago to buy private label. In fact, the popularity of store brands in supermarkets is having a halo effect on home/office, household, and DIY products.

In the U.S., there is one show that is devoted entirely to store brands. It's the PLMA Show and it is the event that manufacturers, retailers, wholesalers, brokers, and trade suppliers visit each year to keep up with trends and products in private label. This year’s show is expected to attract nearly 5,000 buyers and sellers representing supermarkets, drug chains, mass merchandisers, dollar stores, convenience stores, department stores, wholesalers and military exchanges.

The cost to exhibit is: 10 x 10 booth -- U.S. $2,700.00, 10 x 20 booth – U.S. $3,700.00, which includes per 10’x10’ booth -- pipe & drape space, carpet, 1 6’ table, 2 chairs, 1 wastebasket, 1 identification, sign and full show coordination.  Exhibitors are entitled to 2 free badges per booth regardless of size. Exhibitors must also be a member of the Private Label Manufacturer’s Association; membership is U.S. $1,000.
