Mike Nguyen is a Global Partnerships Planner at Rakuten, Inc., where he helps overseas clients, mainly in the public sector, leverage marketing and advertising solutions on Rakuten’s 70+ services ecosystem to drive sales and presence in Japan. In a previous life, Mike was a U.S. diplomat, serving overseas tours in Beijing (with the U.S. Commercial Service), and as a Foreign Service Officer in Guangzhou, China, and most recently in Tokyo, Japan, before joining Rakuten.
