The Canadian Food Exporters Association is working in partnership with the High Commission of Canada to provide you with a trade mission and exhibition at AAHAR International Food and Hospitality Fair, taking place in New Delhi from March 12-16, 2019 (dates updated by the organizers).
AAHAR is the largest Food & Hospitality fair in India, and includes two concurrent exhibitions – “Hospitality India” which covers Hotel & Restaurant Equipment and Supplies, and “Food India” which covers Food, Processed Food, Food Processing and Beverages. The 2018 event attracted 60,000 business visitors including importers & wholesalers, distributors, overseas & Indian buyers, policy makers, hotel, restaurant & institutions, retail chain, cash & carry, and supermarkets. The Canadian High Commission has been participating at this event since 2010 and each time has generated good leads for participating companies.
Companies participating in this program will have the opportunity to display products, meet prospective clients and make use of networking opportunities in the Canada pavilion. There will also be a briefing session as well as a retail tour to give you a better idea of the Indian grocery market which is the fastest growing segment in India.
Products of specific interest for the market include: grains, pulses and oilseeds (canola oil processed oats, roasted flax seeds, processed hemp, mustard powder, bran or meal, barley for malting, malt, pulses and beans, quinoa), meat (pork / processed pork products), pet food, seafood (frozen seafood such as salmon, lobster, scallops, clams, cold water shrimp, snow crab), nutraceuticals (health and wellness supplements), fruits (apples, fresh, frozen / dried blueberries and cranberries and other berries, cherrie, apricots, pears), alcoholic beverages (wine, ice-wine, beer), processed food products (bakery, confectionery, juices, jams, sauces, honey, maple syrup, processed egg products, tea, and bottled water etc.).

In order to participate in this event, through our association, you will need to be or become a member. If you are not a member, you can register online at https://www.cfea.com/application. The fee is CDN $565.00 and membership is valid for one year from date joined.
Only companies producing products in Canada are eligible to participate in this event and for membership in the CFEA.

Travel/Shipment Reimbursement Details (for CFEA members only): upon completion of the event,you will be provided with a claim form to apply for the reimbursement of your travel and shipping expenses. The reimbursement will consist of 50% of an economy class airfare up to a maximum reimbursement of CDN $1200.00 (maximum 2 per company), a per diem of CDN $212.50 per day up to a maximum of 7 days (maximum 2 per company) and a partial reimbursement of your sample shipment expenses (up to a maximum of $400.00).
It is important to keep the following documentation for the claim process: a copy of your airline itinerary that shows the travel dates and price paid for the ticket, boarding passes, and a shipment invoice. You will also be required to provide proof of payment (credit card statement or cancelled cheques) for all expenses. Cash payments are not permitted.NOTE: If you fly premium economy or business you will be expected to provide an economy ticket mock up along with the paid ticket and the reimbursement will be based on whichever is lower.
