Cette \u00e9tape est cruciale pour offrir une plus grande transparence aux consommateurs sur les produits qu&#8217;ils consomment.<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab Les aliments ultra-transform\u00e9s sont \u00e0 l&#8217;origine de l&#8217;\u00e9pid\u00e9mie de maladies chroniques \u00bb, <strong>a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., secr\u00e9taire du d\u00e9partement am\u00e9ricain de la Sant\u00e9 et des Services sociaux (HHS)<\/strong>. \u00ab Nous devons agir avec audace pour \u00e9liminer les causes profondes des maladies chroniques et am\u00e9liorer la qualit\u00e9 de notre alimentation. D\u00e9finir les aliments ultra-transform\u00e9s selon une norme claire et uniforme nous donnera encore plus de moyens pour rendre l&#8217;Am\u00e9rique \u00e0 nouveau en bonne sant\u00e9. \u00bb<\/p>\n<p>\u00c0 l&#8217;heure actuelle, il n&#8217;existe pas de d\u00e9finition officielle unique des aliments ultra-transform\u00e9s dans l&#8217;approvisionnement alimentaire am\u00e9ricain. La cr\u00e9ation d&#8217;une d\u00e9finition f\u00e9d\u00e9rale uniforme constituera un r\u00e9sultat cl\u00e9 dans la foul\u00e9e de la publication r\u00e9cente de l&#8217;\u00e9valuation Make Our Children Healthy Again, qui reconna\u00eet que la surconsommation d&#8217;aliments ultra-transform\u00e9s est l&#8217;un des facteurs d\u00e9terminants de la crise des maladies chroniques chez les enfants.<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab Le pr\u00e9sident Trump a fait de l&#8217;am\u00e9lioration de la sant\u00e9 des familles et des communaut\u00e9s am\u00e9ricaines une priorit\u00e9. Cette demande d&#8217;informations marque une nouvelle \u00e9tape dans la recherche de solutions sens\u00e9es pour permettre aux consommateurs de faire des choix plus \u00e9clair\u00e9s et plus judicieux. Une d\u00e9finition unifi\u00e9e et largement comprise des aliments ultra-transform\u00e9s est attendue depuis longtemps, et je me r\u00e9jouis de poursuivre mon partenariat avec le secr\u00e9taire Kennedy pour rendre l&#8217;Am\u00e9rique \u00e0 nouveau en bonne sant\u00e9. Au fur et \u00e0 mesure que ce processus avancera, je veillerai \u00e0 ce que les hommes et les femmes qui composent la cha\u00eene de valeur agricole participent \u00e0 la discussion \u00bb, <strong>a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 Brooke L. Rollins, secr\u00e9taire am\u00e9ricaine \u00e0 l&#8217;Agriculture<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab Je suis ravi de diriger cet effort crucial au sein de la FDA \u00bb, <strong>a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 Marty Makary, commissaire de la FDA, docteur en m\u00e9decine et titulaire d&#8217;une ma\u00eetrise en sant\u00e9 publique<\/strong>. \u00ab Les menaces que repr\u00e9sentent pour notre sant\u00e9 les aliments souvent consid\u00e9r\u00e9s comme ultra-transform\u00e9s sont claires et convaincantes, ce qui rend imp\u00e9ratif que nous travaillions en \u00e9troite collaboration avec nos partenaires f\u00e9d\u00e9raux afin de promouvoir, pour la toute premi\u00e8re fois, une d\u00e9finition uniforme des aliments ultra-transform\u00e9s. \u00bb<\/p>\n<p>On estime qu&#8217;environ 70 % des produits emball\u00e9s dans le cadre de l&#8217;approvisionnement alimentaire aux \u00c9tats-Unis sont des aliments souvent consid\u00e9r\u00e9s comme ultra-transform\u00e9s, et que les enfants tirent plus de 60 % de leurs calories de ces aliments. Des dizaines d&#8217;\u00e9tudes scientifiques ont \u00e9tabli un lien entre la consommation de ces aliments et de nombreux effets n\u00e9fastes sur la sant\u00e9, notamment les maladies cardiovasculaires, le diab\u00e8te de type 2, le cancer, l&#8217;ob\u00e9sit\u00e9 et les troubles neurologiques. Contribuer \u00e0 lutter contre la surconsommation de ces aliments est un \u00e9l\u00e9ment cl\u00e9 pour rendre l&#8217;Am\u00e9rique \u00e0 nouveau en bonne sant\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p>Une d\u00e9finition uniforme de ces aliments permettra d&#8217;assurer la coh\u00e9rence des recherches et des politiques, et d&#8217;ouvrir la voie \u00e0 la r\u00e9solution des probl\u00e8mes de sant\u00e9 li\u00e9s \u00e0 leur consommation. La demande d&#8217;informations, qui vise \u00e0 recueillir des informations sur les facteurs et les crit\u00e8res \u00e0 inclure dans une telle d\u00e9finition, sera publi\u00e9e dans le registre f\u00e9d\u00e9ral le 24 juillet.<\/p>\n<p>Parall\u00e8lement, la FDA et les National Institutes of Health investissent dans des recherches de haute qualit\u00e9 afin de r\u00e9pondre aux questions qui subsistent concernant les effets des aliments ultra-transform\u00e9s sur la sant\u00e9, dans le cadre de leur <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fda.gov\/news-events\/press-announcements\/fda-and-nih-announce-innovative-joint-nutrition-regulatory-science-program\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">programme Nutrition Regulatory Science Program<\/a> r\u00e9cemment annonc\u00e9.
