2lbs (1kg) Lean, ground beef
½ Vidalia onion, diced
2 Cloves garlic, chopped
2 tbsp (30ml) Salt
1 tbsp (15ml) Onion powder
½ tsp (2ml) Black pepper
1 x 8oz (227g) Summer Fresh Blue Cheese Dip
8 Mini hamburger buns
1 Tomato, sliced and quartered
½ Red onion, thinly cut into rings
½ Green leaf lettuce head
1. In a large bowl, mix ground beef, Vidalia onions, garlic, salt, onion powder and black pepper. Add ½ of Summer Fresh Blue Cheese Dip to the mixture and blend well.
2. For mini-burgers, take approximately ¼ lb (or ½ lb for mammoth burger) of mixture and shape into a patty; repeat until you have eight patties. Place patties on a medium pan or grill and cook for 10 to 15 minutes or until cooked through.
3. Place burgers on buns, top with a dollop of Summer Fresh Blue Cheese and garnish with tomatoes, onions and lettuce.
Makes 8 mini-burgers (or 4 mammoth burger) servings.
