As announced in the recent news release, the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) is expanding the use of My CFIA and the Digital Service Delivery Platform (DSDP) to request and issue electronic phytosanitary certificates (ePhytos) for commodities exported to Mexico.
Currently, ePhyto functionality is available for:
- All plants and plant products exported to the United States
- Grains and field crops exported to Mexico
Starting January 19, 2026, My CFIA users with a validated party profile can apply for an ePhyto for all other commodities to Mexico, including apples originating from Western Canada and lumber.
