Jul 30, 2026 Please be advised that, the Canadian Food Inspection Agency has finalized the African Swine Fever (ASF) Animal Health Requirement (AHR) between Canada and Japan, and has established a new Certificate for Pork and Pork Products Destined to Japan (Annex G).
Effective August 1, 2026, Annex G must accompany all shipments of pork and pork products exported to Japan.
As a transitional measure, shipments certified on or before July 31, 2026 without Annex G will continue to be accepted by Japan, provided they arrive in Japan no later than October 31, 2026.
