The Canadian government and a private organization (CETA) are both organizing Canadian pavilions at the upcoming China International Import Expo (CIIE)  from November 5-10, 2026.

Held in Shanghai, the world’s largest importer and consumer, the CIIE offers a platform for global enterprises to access the vast Chinese market. The event features large-scale exhibitions, diversified supporting activities, and strong purchase demand from professional buyers. The 2025 edition welcomed 460,000 visitors from 138 countries and regions, generating strong commercial outcomes for international exhibitors.

Each organizer is charging CAD $1000 per sqm to participate. The government pavilion minimum is 9sqm and CETA is offering a smaller option starting at 6sqm. Both pavilions will have access to shared common meeting areas and a dedicated area for companies to display products.

Companies interested in exhibiting at CIIE can apply to the new Agrimarketing SME program for funding. The application timeline for approval is 75 business days. Learn more about the application process at this link.
