1 cup cheddar cheese, finely grated
1/3 cup mayonnaise
1 tsp lemon juice
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
½ cup apple, finely chopped
¼ cup celery, finely chopped
½ cup carrot, finely grated
½ cup Wild Rice, cooked
2 tbsp raisins, seedless, chopped
1 tbsp green pepper, finely chopped
1 tbsp wheat germ
as needed, whole wheat or rye bread slices
1. In a small bowl, combine cheese, mayonnaise, lemon juice, and Worcestershire sauce. Beat until smooth. Fold in apple, celery, carrot, Wild Rice, raisins, green pepper, and wheat germ. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
2. Before serving, remove crusts from bread and cut each slice into quarters, diagonally. Stir spread and serve on bread triangles.
