Flax Seed Oil Banana Bread


Yields: 1 loaf pan


3 ripe bananas

1 ½ cups packed brown sugar

2 whole eggs

2 tsp vanilla extract

2/3 cup Alligga Flax Seed Oil

2/3 cup buttermilk

1 tsp ground cinnamon

½ tsp ground nutmeg

2 tsp baking soda

2 cups all purpose flour


  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F
  2. Mix together the bananas, eggs, oil, vanilla and buttermilk
  3. Sift together the flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg and baking soda and add to the wet ingredients, mix until just blended
  4. Pour batter into a greased loaf pan and bake for 25 minutes, rotate the loaf pan and continue to bake until a skewer inserted in the center comes out clean
  5. Cool the banana bread on a wire rack
